This blog post is a little belated. The new version of PageLocalization (PL) (version 3.0) was released just before OpenForce North America. Going there, getting the flu and work has kept me busy ever since.
New Features
This new version of PL is a leap forward from the previous version in more than one way. The administrative interface has undergone a major overhaul, and is much more concise. The left hand side of the module now shows a treeview control, displaying all pages in the portal. Clicking on a page will display all the settings that can be localized for that page, in a layout that resembles the DotNetNuke page settings view.

In the settings pane, a few new items have appeared. It is now possible to localize the page header text, a completely new feature is introduced here: language based page redirection. This function is really useful in situations where a page in your site is not localizable. You can now just add a new page for the other language and have the two pages redirect to each other based on the language selected by the visitor. Of course this also works with more than 2 languages.
The module can now check whether the user accessing the admin interface has admin rights on pages. This function needs to be activated through the module settings:
Another new feature in this version is support for the DNN Nav menu. You can now use PageLocalization if your skin uses the DNNNAV menu.
Finally, import / export has been enhanced to support portal templates better. Content will be correctly kept when installing the portal template on a different DotNetNuke installation.
Licensing
An additional licensing type is available now: the Enterprise license. This is a license type that is especially usefull for large companies, but also hosting companies: you can now buy the module once, and install it on all DNN installations on all servers that are owned by you. Enterprise customers will receive extra support, also through a dedicated forum on this site.
