Hi,

we have localized our customers web with apollo modules and helpers and everything works fine. We have still this little item left - now I would appreciate, if one would guid us on how to use apollos modules in a smart way to get this translated:

<%=PortalSettings.ActiveTab.BreadCrumbs (0).TabName %>

Yes, we know, that this is part of dnn core. But, how should we changes this to get a translation ? Any idea welcome (including any senseful change of our template).

Detlev,

The best way would be a custom skinobject, the second best way would be to call the LocalizationApi from your skin…

Erik,

thanks for your response, but would you kindly guide us a bit more in the right direction ?

As far as I understand, a custom object should be developed (by whoever) whereas a call to the Localization API could be set up as an ad-hoc solution.

Could you tell me briefly, how we should start on integrating a call to the Localization API (as we are not firm with DNN developement).

Thanks in advance,
Detlev

Erik,

I had the idea, that you may guide us to the right piece of documentation ... anyway - we found it by ourselves, meanwhile.

For all others: google for MLSkinHelper.LocalizeMe. Maybe, there's a leaner/cleaner solution, but it solves our problem.

Yours,
Detlev
