Hi,

we just purchased PageLocalization  and it is working as it should.  But I did run into the following issue.

When working with the admin module to add / edit page names, the tree view list on the left keeps adding an extra ampersand between page names that contain an ampersand. (&)

So the first time you look at the left menu with a page called say "News & Events" it is ok.

after the first update to a page it would look like "News & Events",  the next update would show "News & Events".  And on and on...

It isn't changeing anything in the database just causing the module to push off the page.

We are running DNN 5.1

Hopefully it is a quick fix.

thanks,

Robert

Just so i understand you correctly, this is only in the admin interface right, nothing happens with the real page names?

Correct.  It doesn't affect the actual page names.  Just those displayed in the left hand treeview.  On every update it just keeps adding another ampersand between the words in a page name.  I can send you an image of it if you need.

Nope, thats fine. I guess there is too much encoding going on there, i will see what I can do. Most probably that will only happen after my vacation though (I am leaving on Saturday…)

Erik,

Still waiting on an answer for this.  Have you had a chance to fix this issue or at least look at it? It's been a couple of months.

thanks,

Could you please provide a status on this?  It has been quite awhile now.

Thank you,

Erik,

I know that this is a minor issue but it is a little frustrating that you haven't responded to any of the posts. I find it a bit ironic especially after having read your blog post about your troubles with UPC and their lack of customer support and not keeping you informed as to what is going on.

Thanks for listening,

Robert

Robert, i am terribly sorry for the delay.. touché about the UPC reference :)...

Anyhow, i've looked at the problem, and the problem is that PageLocalization is using the DNN WebControls Treeview. Apparently this treeview control messes up the display after a postback.

The only solution i could find is to completely reinitialize the tree after a postback, however, that causes other performance related issues. So... in the short run, i won't fix this issue, in the long run i will look at using a different treeview control to replace the core one...

Erik,

Thanks for the response. Now the followup question, when can we expect a new version? :) (rough estimate)

Thanks,

Robert
