I have changed TITLEs for MLTITLEs in my container ascx file so that the translations work OK for titles of MLHTML and MLAnnouncements modules.

But another issue emerges: when I am not logged in and hover my mouse above the titles, an Edit button (the one with the pencil) appears and allows any visitor to edit the title!

When I reload the page, the title is back to normal, so the changes are not sent to the DB. However I would like to get rid of this strange behaviour, could you please give me some hints?

i will need to investigate this. In the meantime, you could turn of inline editing in site settings, this will turn off the behaviour alltogether

I second that. Disabling inline editing on a portal level fixes it...
